Yoga Classes
Yoga Fundamentals
Yoga Fundamentals is a 4-week rotating course. Each week will offer instruction on 5-6 poses followed by a 20-30 minute flow implementing the weeks poses. The goal is to become more familiar with poses and increase confidence in your yoga practice.
Week 1: Floor poses
(Easy, Child’s, Puppy, Staff, Table, Cat/Cow, Plank, Frog, Pigeon)
Week 2: Standing poses
(Mountain, Forward bend, Downward dog, Lunge,
Warrior 1, Warrior 2, Side angle, Triangle)
Week 3: Balancing poses
(Side Plank, Chair, Drinking bird, Warrior 3, Half moon, Tree, Eagle, Dancer)
Week 4: Spine strengthening, relaxation poses
(Seated spine twist, Baby cobra, Cobra, Sphinx,
Upward Facing Dog, Thread the needle, Bridge,
Waterfall, Happy Baby)
Vinyasa Flow
A yoga sequence synchronizing movement with breath to allow for greater strength, flexibility and balance.
Warm Vinyasa Flow: 80-85 degree room temperature
Gentle Flow
A yoga sequence synchronizing movement with breath to allow for greater strength, flexibility and balance.
Candlelight Gentle Flow:
A gentle vinyasa flow connecting breath to movement including balance, strength and breathing techniques. All by candlelight.
Lift & Flow
Lift & flow is a 70 minute class bringing strength and yoga together in one class format. This is not a yoga sculpt class. I have outlined each piece separately. The first 35 minutes of class will be a full body strength building and toning, the second piece is yoga flowing and breathing ,and tapering into some slow deep holds. I have separated the two so we can solely focus on each with intent and purpose and not get lost in multitasking movements and losing some benefits to each. This class is going to be simple and straightforward, but challenging and powerful. We will implement small hand weights and resistance bands in this class. There will be a few provided, but encourage you to bring your own. 2-8 lb weights and resistance bands.
Power Yoga
A fitness-based approach to Vinyasa yoga. A physically intense class considered to be more of a workout.
Warm Power Yoga: 80-85 degree room temperature
Sculpt
Sculpt combines hand weights, strength building and cardio, making this class a full body workout while maintaining the meditation and intensity of a vinyasa flow.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a passive, slow, therapeutic style of yoga focusing on the connective tissues of the body. Reduces stress and anxiety by relaxing in a posture 3-10 minutes.
